DoseBeacon is an iPhone and iPad app for medication reminders and family coordination: large-text reminders, a shared record of reported doses for approved caregivers, refill tracking, reports and an emergency card.

Reminders aren't appearing. Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → DoseBeacon and make sure Allow Notifications is on. If a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is on, add DoseBeacon to its allowed apps. Reminders are scheduled on the device, so they work without internet, but no app can guarantee delivery if the phone is off, muted or restricted.

I see medicine names on my lock screen, or I don't. Names are hidden by default. Change this in Caregiver Mode → Settings.

A dose shows “Not confirmed yet.” Was it missed? Not necessarily. It means nobody has reported it. It may still have been taken. Check in, then record what actually happened, or use “Not sure”. If you don't know what to do about a dose, ask a pharmacist. Don't double up.

How do helpers join? In Caregiver Mode open Care Circle and share the circle code. The helper installs DoseBeacon on their iPhone or iPad, enters the code and their name, and sends a request. You (or a medication manager) approve it and choose a role. See how family sharing works.

My family can't see a dose I logged. Look for “Sharing pending”. It means the report is saved on your phone and waiting for a connection. Open DoseBeacon with internet access and it will share. On the caregiver's phone, pull down to refresh.

A dose says “Needs review”. Two or more reports disagree. DoseBeacon keeps both and never picks one. Talk with whoever made them, then mark it reviewed. If you're unsure whether a dose was taken, ask a pharmacist before giving anything else.

My access was removed. The circle's owner or a manager revoked this device. Ask them to approve a new request if that was a mistake.

Restore. Open any upgrade screen or Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Subscriptions belong to the Apple Account that bought them.

Cancel. iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DoseBeacon → Cancel. Your data stays, and free features keep working. For refunds, use Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.

To delete everything, open DoseBeacon → Settings → Delete my data. It removes all on-device records and reminders. If you created a family circle, it also erases the circle's shared data from our servers; if you joined one, it removes your device from it. Deleting the app also removes on-device data, and you can always email us the circle code and we'll erase it for you.
