Medication reminders for the whole care circle.
Simple reminders for the person taking medication. Shared records and clearer coordination for the family helping them.
CREATE A FREE MEDICATION LISTReminders work offline. Family sharing needs an internet connection and DoseBeacon on each helper's iPhone or iPad.
Tuesday morning
Good morning,
Rose
Example Med A
10 mg · 1 tablet
Your label: take with breakfast
Illustration with fictional names and medicines.
Two people, one record
Built for the person taking the pills and the people helping.
I take medication
One big card at a time. Four clear buttons: LOG AS TAKEN, LATER, NOT SURE and I NEED HELP. Read-aloud if you want it, and no sales screens.
Senior ModeI help someone
See what's been reported, what hasn't and when it last updated. Coordinate with siblings, track refills and print a report for the next appointment.
Caregiver ModeHow it works
Honest by design.
DoseBeacon records what people report, shows where that report has reached, and never pretends to know more than it does.
- 01
Add medicines from the label
Type them in or scan a pharmacy label. Scanned text is only a draft — you check every field before any reminder turns on.
- 02
Reminders arrive on the phone
Reminders are scheduled on the device, so they work without internet. Senior Mode shows one big card with four clear choices.
- 03
Each answer becomes a report
“Taken”, “Not sure”, “Later” and “I need help” are saved with who, when and on which device. A report isn't proof. DoseBeacon says so.
- 04
Approved family see it after sync
When there's a connection, the report is shared with people you approved. Until the server confirms, it says “Sharing pending”.
See it in action
Three phones, one morning dose.
Rose uses Senior Mode. Her daughter Dana and son Sam help. Everyone here is made up, and nothing leaves your browser.

Try the conflict: set Sam offline, tap his “Dose given”, then tap Rose's LOG AS TAKEN. Bring Sam back online and watch Dana's phone.
Nothing auto-resolves. DoseBeacon never picks a winner or suggests another dose. It shows both reports and asks the family to review.
Everything shared. In the real app, sharing needs an internet connection. Reminders work offline.
Every status means something
No false reassurance.
Every status comes with words, not just a colour, and uncertainty is never hidden behind a green tick.
- Scheduled
Coming up. Nothing to do yet.
- Not confirmed yet
Due, and nobody has reported it. Never “missed”.
- Reported taken
Someone reported it. Shows who and when.
- Reported given
A caregiver reported giving it.
- Handling this
A caregiver claimed it. Not the same as given.
- Not sure
Honest uncertainty, kept visible.
- Sharing pending
Saved on this device. Not yet received by family.
- Needs review
Reports disagree. Nothing is auto-resolved.
What's inside
Everything a care circle actually needs.
Senior Mode
Huge text, one card at a time, read-aloud, and no ads or sales screens. Ever.
Dose Handshake
“I'm handling this” tells siblings who's on it. A claim is never shown as a dose given.
Append-only history
Every report and correction keeps its author, device and time. Undo adds a record, it never erases one.
Approval-based joining
A circle code only starts a request. An owner or manager approves it and picks a role.
Refill Center
Enter what's on hand to get a clearly labelled estimate. No pharmacy connection, no auto-orders.
Appointment reports
7, 30 or 90-day PDF of medicines and reported activity, including what wasn't confirmed.
Emergency card
Allergies, conditions, contacts and medicines on one printable card. Free on every plan.
Private by default
Notifications hide medicine names unless you turn them on. No ads, no data selling.

Printable medication tools, free for everyone.

Straight answers
Does DoseBeacon work without internet?
Reminders, your medication list, history and dose logging all work offline because they live on the device. Family sharing needs an internet connection. Anything logged offline is marked “Saved on this device. Sharing pending” until the server confirms it.
Does everyone in the family need an iPhone?
Yes, for now. Each helper needs DoseBeacon on an iPhone or iPad and an internet connection to share. There is no Android or web dashboard yet, and we won't claim one until it exists.
How does someone join our Care Circle?
They enter your circle code in the app, which sends a join request. The primary caregiver or a medication manager approves or denies it and picks a role. The code alone never grants access, and access can be revoked at any time.
Can DoseBeacon prevent a double dose?
No app can promise that. DoseBeacon helps families coordinate: a caregiver can show they're handling a dose, and if two people report the same dose it's flagged as “Needs review” instead of being silently merged. Talk to each other, and ask a pharmacist if you're unsure.
What happens if a dose is not confirmed?
It shows as “Not confirmed yet”, never “missed”, because it may simply not have been recorded. DoseBeacon never tells anyone to take a dose late or double up. It points to the prescription instructions and suggests asking a pharmacist or prescriber.
What's free?
Reminders, 1 patient, 2 active medications and 1 approved helper, plus full history, reports and the emergency card, free forever. DoseBeacon Family ($8.99/month or $59.99/year, 7-day trial for eligible users) adds unlimited medications, more caregivers and the Dose Handshake.
Is DoseBeacon a medical device?
No. It's a reminder and record-keeping app. It doesn't give medical advice, recommend doses, check interactions or verify that a medicine was taken.
